This is for all the template designers / coders out there.

Where do you sell your pieces of work?

When I have a finished web template, I usually post a topic here, on webhostingtalk, and on talkfreelance.

    Where do you guys go?

I made my own site and sell my stuff there. That way I have total control over pricing and license issues.

How do you get the word out Norebbo? Attract people to that site, I mean.

I ask because I plan on making my own portfolio / sales site sometime this summer.

Try site point marketplace, banner advertising and set an affiliate system on your site.

The thing that has helped me the the most is ppc advertising (yahoo + google). I usually do that for a couple months, stop for a month or two, then start up again. It's tough to get a steady stream of traffic in the beginning, but if you've got good content, you'll get lots of return traffic.

You should try setting up a website and selling your services on Google Pay Per Click. That's what most successful designers do. But they also use forums, Craigslist, and other free options.

You can create threads in forums sell there but having them in own site n promoting the site everywhere is a good method and it helps improve portfolio too
