I sometimes sell bulk domain packages on flippa as domain name auction only. not really worth the listing fee if your selling an individual domain unless its a decent keyworded one.

If you have an email list that is IM oriented mail them. If you have a list in a specific niche where you have related domains, mail them...

Besides forums? Probably Sedo. In terms of forums, try dnforum.

I've had some luck with Sedo as well. But finding sites for selling websites as a whole is hard to do.

Contact people who have a similar domain to yours and offer them the domain.

You can also try Afternic, Moniker & Bido.

Moniker is a good place for selling domains because they offer you online and offline markets, what increases your chance to sell a name.

This is, they organize live auctions in offline events attended by people highly motivated to get online with the right domain name.

You can design a separate site for listing your domains for sale. Put some contact detail there for asking the price.

    Sedo
    Flippa
    ebay (cough)
    Namepros
    DNForum.com
    Besdies

I'd think targeting businesses offline or online who may have an interest in a particular domain name would be a smart strategy.

no (so far) but now I'm trying to sell a mix of domain names + advertising spaces (I can do it also on this forum but I don't know if it's allowed here, and in which section)
