I'm really am quite new to building links for SEO and I'm wondering where do you get your links from? Thanks for your help, Sincerely, Paul Kleinmeulman Australia
I often get links from different sources: using Directory Submission, Forum Posting, Article Submitting, but u can use also Social Bookmarking in Digg, Reddit, Netscape, Del.icio.us, Technorati, Stumbleupon, Clip Clip sites. Regards,
No ... but once you get more than a few links from any particular domain, they stop counting much to the search engines.
Posting ads on classified ad sites is another source of backlinks. Here is a list of some sites you may use http://cosmocentral.com/page/Free-Classified-Ad-Sites-List.aspx Blog commenting is another you can do.
Here’s how you can build some free one way links fast. Search for free directory, website directory, submit directory, etc and you will find lot of results. Submit to as many as you can under relevant category. Search for related sites where you can add links to. For example, if your site is related to football, then you can search for “football add url†or “football add link†and you will find some sites where you can add your link to. Search for related blog articles and add relevant comments on the blog post. You can search for football add comment or football blog add comment, etc. be creative on your search terms to find variation of results. When you add comments on a blog, it is important to remember that you need to add some value to the blog post and submit related comment. DO NOT SPAM any blog Search for free press release or submit free press release and submit your article to as many PR sites you can. You can add anchor text link on a press release article. This will get you going for some time. Hope that helps.
Directories won't help very much. Sorry to say, but it's true. That shouldn't stop you from adding yourself to the good ones. Just don't expect much SEO difference. Or much direct traffic. But links from a few more domains is a good thing. Put a link in your signature like everyone else. These really don't seem to carry much weight, but, again, the first few actually do from here. Ignore the main/popular "social bookmark" web sites. They use rel="nofollow" in their linking code, which tells Google and other search engines "I can't vouch for this link, I didn't put it there, so don't hold it against me and don't count it as a real link." There are a few search engines that ignore nofollow, but they get 5% or less of all search traffic. Zlitt is something like a sb site, with very little traffic, but search engine friendly links. Again the links aren't worth much, but they're something. Follow Sultanofseo's advice. If you're going to comment on blogs, you can try the d list, which is blogs that don't use nofollow links. These are going to set the bar higher than most blogs, though; they get a lot of spam, so to get your link published, you'll need to write intelligent comments that add something of value to the blog. But you really ought to do that anyway. All of that will give you a little push, but then it's time to move onto stage two. People make relevance between hyperlinks sound more important than it really is to search engines. Once you've got your first bunch of links, you do want to concentrate within your niche only. These are the people who are most likely to enjoy your site, to visit it, to recommend it to others, and to link to it naturally. Most of my links are from blog and web site directories, related blog links, and quality forums (through sig)
I have wondered if this is true. I say this because I have heard if you get a high quality blog to list you as a link on their home page you end up with a ton of backlinks. This is because each blog entry is its own page and therefore you get a link every time they make a new post? Is this true or false???
This is true. Multiple links from a domain do have value - although they may be weighted differently. 1000 links from one domain is better than 1.
