I agree with most, use Name Cheap. They have $7.99 and free Whois privacy for the first year. Their mangement panel is easiest to navigate. GoDaddy uis good too but I still prefer Name Cheap.

I am all for godaddy, it convenient, you have free-push, coupon codes are very easily available, i have hundreds of domains with them, but overall the best point with them is that i get private registration for free.

I think he means whois info protection

Generally my favorite registrar is domainsite.com with no serious problems the last 3 years

Prefer Namecheap by a country mile. The free who-is guard for 12 months is excellent and very easy to navigate around. Go Daddy ended up spamming my inbox with junk all the time where as NameCheap do not.

    Namecheap for me.

Godaddy is a plague. Their site is one big slow bloatware that will make you go through unnecessary steps just to read their boring promotions. If you want to go away they will make you not. How? For instance they put 2 months on hold for changing the registration info. Now, taking off privacy (domains by proxy) is considered changing your info. Since domains under privacy can not be transfered you have to remove privacy, wait 2 months and then make a transfer. Many people don't know that and they try do move their domains to other registrar close to renewal time.. sorry but you'll have to stay with big daddy for one more year.

Than, their owned privacy service "Domains by proxy" will likely mess up your login ID into several ID-s, each has a chunk of your domains. No problem, you have to write a email(s) and they will "merge" them into one account ID. An awful lot of people experianced that. Why? Because godaddy will make things complicated or hidden to lock you with them and force to renew. It works. People decides to not bother and stay with them. Not everyone fires up angry emails each and often.

Next, private registration is free for first year, then for second year you have to pay whooping 8.80 (i think) to keep privacy. No promo codes. No bulk discounts. Nine dollars for each domain just for privacy. With namecheap after first free year you have privacy on 5 domains for 7 and something. Others are cheaper too.

I can go on and on.. bottom line if you have many domains and want privacy protection on them do yourself a favor and avoid godaddy.

Almost all from Enom through my $6.95 reseller account. Enom are very professional and have probably the best reseller interface of all registrars.
