where do you get photos and images to post in your blog?

where do bloggers who write something in their blog get photos or images? i have seen them using it as thumb image.

i would appreciate any help and because i am worried about using images taken from other sites cause possible copyright violation or endup getting DMCA notice.

 

add zemanta to your profile - they will give you images that are free to use and automatically link to the image owner

Thank you andrej - i have seen the site and they say the images can be freely used in blogs/websites. any issues you had until now on images taken from this sxc.hu?

Anyways, until now i used to get product images from amazon affiliate and perhaps sometimes from wikipedia as well.

 

I had one issue with one image that I used on one of my free WP themes and I distributed it. The author of the image contacted me and I had to remove the theme. However, as for using the images on blogs/websites, that should be no problem.

I always use Flickr and use the advanced search, just check the box for creative commons license. Really good website.

Don't forget that beyond taking them from the internet you can actually use a real camera and take photos and build a collection of images like that. I try to take my own pictures when ever possible, or create new ones from ones I find on the net using Photoshop or Fireworks. I want to be a little creative when possible for my visitors.

 

Yeah, but then that sort of depends on what niche you are in, environment or gardening niche great, but Make Money Online is not so easy....

 

There are many sources for free images. You can either check out creative commons image search or go with 'zemanta' wordpress plugin.
