Where do you get most of your traffic?

My blog still relies on forums and communities to get traffic. Can't really count on Google yet; it's still ranked some hundred thousandth there

 

from digg and google

 

I mostly get traffic to my blog from forums/blogs, digg, google and direct connections (returning visitors).

Google works fine. But as everything, putting your eggs in the same basket isn't good. Digg isnt bad also, but its traffic is kinda useless.

My majority of traffic is from Google
Next comes trackbacks, forums, digg, social sites, Yahoo!, blogs

 

90% from digg.

 

70% wikipedia, 29% google, 1% "other"

 

Links from other people's blogs.. A few Google organic per day. PPC ads.

 

Mostly from Google, through regular update of my site, backlinks and page additions.

A Popularity Contest gets most of its traffic from google. Some days it gets a lot from myspace. Lot of the myspacers have my polls on their sites. Get some blogger traffic as well for the same reason.

 

I get most of my traffic from word of mouth. When I check my Google Analytics, most hits are DIRECT traffic. Building good word of mouth takes time though. A solid business is built one satisfied client at a time.

For search traffic... I have found that it depends on the search terms. Google does well for more business and technical terms, and Yahoo and MSN are better for more consumer terms.
