As the topic says, where do you get most of your traffic? From search engines? Link(s) from another/other sites? Me, I get 42% of traffic from Google, Yahoo, and MSN, although Google is over 30% of it, and a whopping 16% from stumbleupon. Everything else is direct and from a few link exchanges I did.

    depends on the site.

the most successful method I've personally found is simply word of mouth.

I've got multiple sites that do well over 100K pageviews/day and don't get much SE traffic at all.

I used to get a lot from here too but then it slowed down. I got a warning? I thought this was the right place to post this thread... the mod could've just moved it instead of warning. Well, it's all good. Yeah, DP traffic, good stuff.

On one of my sites, over 50% traffic is from Google, however others recieve in the region of 15-40% Gooogle traffic and the rest as link exchanges and direct. Yahoo contributes very little to any of my sites.

My traffic is mostly about 70% of search-engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Those visitors also make the most money from me so personally I don't care about the other traffic and do a lot of optimizing for search-engines.

Google traffic is always good for the site but the traffic from word of mouth is always best.
