Hello all. I am a first time poster in these forums. I have started two partially-successful web-sites, and ended up selling them for a relatively small amount of money. They were niche video game fan-sites that had a substantial fan base, and in hindsight, I regret selling them. I am looking to get into something new, and I don't know what the best market to be in is. I am a designer, so I do all of my own work. I want to get into some sort of an affiliate program. I have been reading about the travel industry and their great affiliate programs. Especially because once you put up their script, you essentially have nothing left to do except market. So basically, what I am asking is, what is popular to get into right now, where should I start, and what kinds of affiliate programs are best? Thanks, Nudge
Keep in mind where ever you decide to focus, make sure it's something you're passionate about. Likely the success of your gaming fan sites had to do with your involvement and expertise you brought in the begining...then your passion carried it through to a good user base. So, Id say dont underestimate that side of it. Passionate about travel? ...the go for the travel site.
Hi If you can design, you can try in B/S/T section and you can try in Design section. there are lots of clients looking for good designs ( logo,banner,webpage). If you can get it done well, you will get paid well. You can do Affiliate Programs running side by side. There are lots of lots of good resources here in Affiliate Section that you can choose from. Also, always try to get suggestions from experienced members out there. You should need to surf around DP, I guarantee you will get something Good. Good luck d.d
