Where Do I Go From Here....?

Kind of new to this so please excuse any errors or false facts in this....

I know its still early days for my website as it was only created about 4 days ago.
Since then its had just over 700 visitors (which im more than happy with.)

But the few problems i have is:

    - Its not indexed by Google (despite submitting it manually about 5 times, and i also have advertised the website with adwords.)
    - Still has a page rank 0 (I've tried a link exchange website which i think is meant to help this? but nobody wants to exchange links yet haha)

Any help on how to resolve these problems would be highly appreciated.... Thanks.

Here's your answer "created about 4 days ago"

It takes weeks, sometimes months for a new site to get indexed...
Page rank takes even longer. You cannot just put a website up, add a few links and expect to rank.
You really need to do some research and heavy reading on how to get started.

This forum is a fountain of resource, but you need to look for it. Especially pay attention to people who have many posts in their profile, or have high reputation.

    thanks,
but just to clear it up adding links will help my page rank? (obviously in time as you said)
And is it just a matter of waiting for it to be indexed after i have submitted it?

Just give it time, it is a long race, not a marathon. It will takes weeks for a new site to be indexed, the fastest way is to get links from other sites (especially blogs or high traffic sites), not search engine submission. On PR, it will change only after Google updates, which can be 3 to 9 months from now. Just build your links to be ready when the PR update comes.

PR will take sometime to be appeared. Be patient.
I would suggest that you could do some article or video in the meantime and it will be helps to make Googles to index your website faster.

    Cheers!

you need to ask yourself what are you targets? why do you need the PR? to starts selling links? if this is what you want to do, your site may get a good PR first but will go down and you will lose your income. If you don't intend to sell links why do you care about PR? it is just a number.

Focus on your site content that users will want to come back. Don't worry too much about Google at the moment.

That is good you get 700 visit in just 4 days! Your website should be a killer website. Or maybe you used Traffic exchanges. Good place to start, but their traffic is not that targeted.

Don't submit your website to Google more than once. in fact don't even submit it! They will find it by them on their own. I have over 1500 pages indexed by Google and i swear i have never submitted a single page! don't even know how it is done.

I also used Google adwords which has been successful for me (giving me over 500 clicks now and over 100,000 impressions) other half is mainly from traffic exchanges.

I only used adwords because my hosting site gave me a $25 code haha, but now that's used up my website will lose half its visitors.

The website is about jokes/information so i suppose i am looking to sell links and make money from advertising which is why i cant really afford to use adwords. (I've only made about 8$ from adsense so im only going to lose money if i continue using adwords.)

I have tried link exchanges but having no luck with them so far (nobody wanting to exchange links) what are some link exchanging websites that some of you have had luck with?

I would suggest stop submitting your site to google, the google bot will find you through backlinks. Make sure to get on all the best forums such as this one to build your backlinks and it is good to get on a link exchange site as long as google does not think it is a link farm (site used only to get backlinks ie ffa sites). Really you need to have a full on marketing strategy, such as article marketing, press releases, directory submission, forums, chat rooms, social bookmarking, twitter <the reason I say this is I have a few thousand followers and every time I write a blog post I let them know and I get a downfall of traffic. twitter>blog>website>forum it is kinda nice. You need to focus on blog commenting as well make sure it is do follow blogs and best if in your niche. Anyway if you need help PM me and I will get back to you or you can use the forum in my signiture to ask me a question.
Anyway if you find this thread helpful please aprove the post I don't know who or why my rep is now red i try to give good info.
