Submitting to a bunch of low quality directories is only going to get your website penalized for having a poor linking profile. Just submit to a handful of quality directories.

I dont think Directory submission really worth for link building. If you ask me then you just go with high authority or reputed directory like Dmoz,A1 etc.

 

I beg to differ, directory submissions have always done my sites well. Just do not submit to 1000's at the same time do it gradually. And look at the directory , have they use a bog standard template, have they changed the logo if the owner has put work in to the directory it will be OK.
