Where do all the AMERICAN freelance web designers/developers get work?

I am looking for a FAST, AMERICAN freelance web designer/developer to make quick and frequent edits to my websites on a regular basis.

I have tried all the freelance sites and I only get bids from people overseas who are 1. SLOW, 2. working abnormal hours, 3. difficult to communicate with.

Where do all the AMERICAN freelance web people get their work, and where I can I find and hire them?

I need my stuff put on the highest priority at all times, I am willing to pay for this. Most of my edits are quick and simple.

Well, Why not hire a Company to do that rather than Freelancers.

That is if you are interested. Most Fast and Cheap http://www.bulawebs.com

Interested to see what others reply.
    Cheers

craigslist.com. . . I've had the best results there. Found a guy who lives 15 minutes from my office. He's awesome.

Are you paying enough? Going rate for web design in the US is $50-$100/hr depending on what you need and how much experience your designer has. If you are offering minimum wage, you're likely to get people in countries where the cost of living is much lower. Or 15 year olds with their first pirated copy of Dreamweaver.

You can also try oDesk.com . I've used it for a ton of stuff (mostly forum posting).

Freelancer.com is where I usually go to find jobs or my own freelancer to work for me. Great site and easy to use.
