Acting like apes is not a way out. A revolution is NEVER a way out. An ultimatum means it is either my way or the highway. And let's not argue about the semantics, what is happening there IS a revolution. A revolution will lead to a complete destruction of anything good otherwise you might have had. A house divided shall not stand.

The problem is Europe is a socialist paradise and the drones are throwing temper tantrums. As far as being immigrants, we are all immigrants starting back from the beginning. We migrated and took over the lands we were in either by peace or force. By force when the lands were occupied and they did not take kindly to being taken over. In fact until recent history that was the way of things one people conquering another. It was just the way of doing business. Now we are more civilized, we are sneakier about it.

    Here you go then:
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...ition-fees-could-cut-cost-for-foreigners.html

So as I said, university fees for 'home' students are going up to subsidise foreign student fees.

I see. But I still think international student fees will now be at par with UK home fees and not less. I did my masters from UK two years back, and while tuition fee for home and EU students was 4000 Pounds, I had to shell out 8000 for the same course. I think its wrong to ask for double the fees from international students, particularly when its already so expensive and many of these students come from so called 'third world countries' (as I mentioned, students from EU countries pay the same fee as UK students).

Bring back the private ownership of firearms and you'll see a sharp decline in such brutish behavior.

Feel free to roll over. Don't demand it of the rest of us though.

It certainly is a socialist paradise, but that isn't the problem. The problem is when we are asked to pay in to a pot from which we can not take. I like that we have socialised education and health care, it's a shame we no longer have socialised power supplies and transport. What i don't like is when we are asked to pay in the same amount for fewer services. Should everyone be entitled to further education? No, for a lot of people it would be a waste. Should we all have equal access to it regardless of financial status? Yes we should.

Good point. I mean, you only have to look at the violent crimes rates in america to see what you said is true. Well, true or completely made up nonsense, i forget which one.

Violently demanding access to other people's money -- applied socialism.

Given up on your "guns make people peaceful" tripe already? Thought you might.

Tell me, would you be happy paying taxes for nothing or would you expect to receive the service it was intended to supply? Don't worry, i don't expect you to answer, i just like asking questions which are impossible for you to answer with either dismantling your own premise or looking like a liar ;)

An armed society is a polite society. When the socialist ruffians come to burn and destroy what they can't steal, the only thing that holds them at bay is the force of arms. It's obvious that the force of law is of no consequence in jolly old England.

Your "taxes" are stealing from those who produce to mollify those who live by theft. Those people aren't getting their own taxes back, those people are stealing wealth created by their betters.

They are acting no better than the French.

Like the armed parts of America. In America, violent crime is largely confined to cities with anti-gun and anti-self-defense laws. In rural America, guns and politeness are common, but carjackings and robbery are rare.

As Thomas Paine wrote, "The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world, as well as property."

Or hell, I'll bring in Jefferson again, "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

Where I live, if I don't get you, my neighbors will. Like Will said, in rural America violence is rare. Not just cause we're armed, but because our neighbors are and are willing to lay it all on the line to protect us, as we are them.

Sounds like an absolute shit hole you live in. Ever thought about living somewhere that isn't like a scene from a zombie film with retards on armed patrol?

I find it hilarious that st0x responds so violently to the concept of a society where people don't spend their time robbing and murdering each other.

We see what we wanna see in others failings and features, I wonder if betaturn's been thinking that about 'us' too.? :)

BTW: I like the Australian anti-gun laws though I was very skeptical at first too. I think it's the only thing Prime Minister Howard did good for the country. Now everyone's stabbing each other but that takes more thought and is messy, so in turn there's less murder here.

Now we fly to USA if we wanna kill ourselves apparently. The twins shooting at a 'family range' is shocking Aussies atm. Moreso the 'family range shooting club' than the event itself.

Wow, I've heard Lake Geneva called a lot of things, never a "shit hole".

Somehow, I think he missed the point here.

Effectively you have disarmed women and given up control of the streets to bullies and ruffians.

As L. Neil Smith wrote, "People who object to weapons aren’t abolishing violence, they’re begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically ‘right.’ Guns ended that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work."

And, of course, there wasn't a drop in the murder rate after people's right and property were taken from them.

I used to live very near that club, I've been shooting there many times. But, there is a not-too-disimilar range in Perth.
