uncontrolled mass immigration, drastic spending cuts on public services yet £billions given away in foreign aid.
Political persecution of opponents of the coalition government.

Also the tuition fees for 'home' students have been increased to subsidise the fees of foreign students.

This is what happens when a country has its culture and way of life eroded by multiculturalism.

The ironic thing is that the only party that would have made university education free for 'home' students is the party that the NUS rallied against and is not given 'the oxygen of publicity' and its members are banned from certain occupations.

These people deserve what they get, they voted for it, to late to start crying about it now.

So, are you saying it is pretty much over and it is all going to be downhill from now on? Is there a way out of this?

It's simple phenomenon called natural selection . The huge number of immigrants is literally killing the English culture , as a result the British people are acting like the white blood cells attacking the "intruders" . The more immigrants will come the more violent the reaction will be . The BNP is on continuous rise whit 2 seats in the EU parliament under it's control . Eventually if harsh immigration laws are not implemented the UK risk either mass violence (France a few years ago will look like child's play) or a nationalist takeover that will impose even harsher immigration laws . One way or another if action is not taken soon the situation will spin out of control fast .

That is what happened to your friends.

So, I guess it was about the time for this to happen. I wonder what the immigrants are going to do about that. There are only two choices - to get out or to adjust their freaking thinking.

And I don't like it one bit , in fact if you have done your research I'm not even an immigrant . I do intend to return home not to get citizenship and live the rest of my days fattening my ass . Also I try as much as possible to integrate , not to stand out or cheastbeat myself for being of a different heritage .

If a country lacks workers by all means let it get workers . But whit unemployment being high and and the economy in trouble the last thing a country needs is more immigrants while it's citizens are desperately searching for a job that can provide enough money for basic food and shelter . The situations that rise up in the US , UK , France and Germany are not beneficial for anyone . When a culture and economy is being eroded by foreigners it's not immigration it is an invasion .

Arent the riots because the tuitions of the state subsidized schools went from USD$5,000 to USD$15,000 once the British govt. decided to do something about it's massive deficits? I suppose I'd be pissed if someone tripled my school tuition as well, but seriously, you can't get into a UC for less than $22,000 a year. Education and healthcare may be a "right", but when the taxpayers can no longer afford to subsidize your "rights", your "rights" will be taken away from you, leaving you with what were formerly your "rights", namely life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Part of that requires standing up for yourself. The protest was against the retardation of the accessibility of education, a wholly worthy cause. The fact that the "elite" are burning the ladders which they themselves climbed means a few broken windows is a fair price to pay for the protection of education.

Yeah, that's pretty much what its about. However, the small group rioting are from a small student union that came from another part of the country just to riot. The media has made this out to be a little larger than it is. From what I understand the actual student population in that area is not part of the rioting.

This is BS. The tuition fee for non-EU international students is double that for home students in UK. That's why UK universities try and get their hands on as many international students as possible.

In Scotland, universities are free for (almost) all Scots.

There are far too many people with worthless degrees, encouraged to go by their school, who only care about their university stats.

There should be free university for the brighest bunch, and the rest should have to pay for it.
