Where did my sale come from?

So I am running a couple of clickbank campaigns, and I have made a couple of sales.

My question is how can I tell where the sales came from.

I have tracking codes on, so I know which landing page the buyer came from and I have analytics on my sites, so I know where the users are coming in from.

The problem is, I don't know how to tell Which user became a buyer, so I can go and do more marketing in the area where the buyer came from.

Anybody have a good solution for this? There has to be a way to figure it out.

Well if you are using Clickbank Tracking and also Google Analytics, that should help to identify, where sales are coming from.

Maybe you need to change your tracking IDs?

Or have a look at Sitemeter. It might be useful - www.sitemeter.com

Get a tracking tool like statcounter or other free one that shows you exact locations re country/city.

Might be tedious but lets say you notice a sale at CB, and in the CB analytics it shows the sale came from US / NY - you know that that's where it came from, and you know the time (CB records the time purchases are made too)...

So now you login to your statcounter, go to that time, look for the NY visitor, and thus figure out where they came from/what campaign was responsive. It's a bit manual but unless you're doing 20+ sales a day it shouldn't be hard for you to track.

If you're not sure how to check analytics at CB - login - click reporting - click analytics - use the search on the right, sort by publisher or tracking id, search.

    Cheers,
    N.

I was going to say what NCMedia said. You can generally figure out exactly how a sale was made by looking at the location of the buyer and matching that up with your statcounter info.

Ok cool, thanks for the tips guys, I will start doing that.

It does sound a little tedious, but I am not making enough sales yet for that to matter.
