sites like google.com / facebook.com / yahoo.com / mashable flickr twitter deliciouse and ... how/where did they register their domain ? dont tell me through godaddy or name.com! but how ?
Google, facebook, yahoo, flickr, all use MarkMonitor. Twitter uses network solutions. What do you mean "how"? They registered the domain just like you would. I don't understand your question, can you elaborate?
I mean larry page or mark zokerberg registered through godaddy.com under their name or what ? my guess is that they registered under their company's name not their personal names , is it ? and the yreally used godaddy or name.com or what ??
They registered the domain with their company name. I already told you who each company uses: MarkMonitor, and Network Solutions.
Since the domain name for company purpose, like making profit, the domain names should be registered under company name. If Larry Page create a personal blog, he might register it under his name.
Does anybody know more about markmonitor. Seems like a reputable registrar but I have never heard of my friends using it before? Maybee its just for big corp etc?
I heard from someone that MarkMonitor price is very expensive, so usually only the big guy use it. Never heard any personal people use it.
initially they regged with their name but later they changed to company data. You can check the histories in whoistools .com if available
You can usually see where any domain name is registered if you just do a simple whois search for it. Hope that helps.
Mostly all big websites use MarkMonitor,Network solutions or Tucows as these are oldest registrars of internet
Yea as Mentioned above Markmonitor is largely used. And you can hide your Whois by paying an extra 1 dollars a month if I'm correct per domain you have, so protecting your info wouldn't be an issue.
