I cannot see what your reply was GTech because I have you on ignore, but I will bet £1000 that you never listened to the 22 minute file. ;)

The most sincerest form of flattery. Being put on ignore! Thank you for the ultimate compliment :)

pssst, aliens in black suits wearing dark sunglasses are peeking in your window right now. They've come to take you back to the mother ship for probing!

Ah it's no biggie, there is only about 8 BILLION dollars gone missing.

It's only eight thousand million dollars.

That amount of money won't slip out of ones pocket and fall down the back of the sofa. :D

I will clean all the sofas - I can be a professional sofa cleaner!!!

I don't know where you get your numbers that 8 billion is missing, I have read that there are some large sums unaccounted for and that haliburtons reports were lacking big time. But after the enitial reports I haven't heard anything, and if there is missing money our media would be all over it still. So, my guess is THAT particular missing $ was found - you won't read a story that "media jumped the gun no missing money"

I am not denying that money is unaccounted for, but where is the investigations. I am sure some are happening.

Isn't that what the government used to pay for a box of screwdrivers and a used toilet seat?:D

Congress has the power of oversight. This is one of the areas that hasn't been looked at since the war began.

While congress could look at lots of things about the war I'd suggest starting and focusing here.

In a spirit of cooperation and with a probable new head of the Pentagon the two parties hopefully will work together to come up with new plans and direction for the state of the war.

meanwhile most taxpayers would be very interested to see if there was misspending with regard to a total of over $21 billion pledged to Iraq rebuilding.
