I am using a script that needs the "amazon category code" I have tried numerous examples of each such as: home&garden homeandgarden home-garden

but nothing is appearing.. so im wondering if there's a particular way amazon puts their cats?

New to the amazon world.. so go easy ;)

    Linda.

I probably should explain that the above are top level categories which Amazon refers to as "Search Indexes". If you need to access subcategories you will need to select the proper browse nodes. Browse nodes are an identifier number that Amazon.com uses to categorize it's products. Browse nodes can be harvested directly at Amazon.com. As well as from several websites featuring the Amazon.com BrowseNodeLookup operation.

    http://www.browsenodes.com/

Or see my browse node lookup utility for ASM2 below. Hope this helps!

Probably helps if members know exactly what script you are using - MrRats, AOM and ASM2 are freely mentioned here and specific help is easily available on these...
