At the moment one of the cheapest domains available are .INFO, which for the first year can be registered for 99 cents from places like GoDaddy and Wild West Domains resellers.

Cheap isn't always better. I'd recommend NameCheap

    Hello Kittymy

There are a couple of domain registrants offering great cheap prices, for example Netfirms $4.95, or 1&1 $5.99, but there are another companies offering to register a domain name for free if you buy a yearly hosting plan :) You can take a look the list of domain registrants here http://www.expireddomainup.com/compare-domain-registrars.html and compare the different prices and offers.

    Best regards!

Becareful with cheap registrars, chances are you are losing some services. Plus, we all saw the nightmare with RegisterFly.com. Stick with Godaddy and ask for executive pricing.

Domainsite.com offers domains for $6.99 not $7.99 and it's a permanent offer without coupons or weird marketing tricks

The extension plays a role, but what are you exactly looking for ? Long term investments or short term buying and selling ? Namecheap and Godaddy are reasonably priced and offer good service.

As far as reputable registrars go, Godaddy with a coupon is always good.

godaddy currently has a promo of $0.99 for .info domains. You can't get anything cheaper than that :)

if you want to register a .INFO domain then go with GoDaddy, they have a good sale.

Moniker also has some good prices.

    Tierra.net for $0.88
    It's accredited ICANN registrar too
There is always a better and more reliable selection than GoDaddy

Well annera i don't know if the following reason that domainsite.com describes in their main page is the reason but i see GoDaddy doesn't care to explain these issues to his customers. It's no surpise to me we're talking for GoDaddy here

    Paste from domainsite.com :
