Where can I warn people about dealing with a DP member?

A DP member contacted me on Jul 12th to inform me he was the one who purchased one of my domain names on Sedo.com for $100. He said he read the appraisals on DP for the same name after he already bid, and decided the name wasn't worth $100 anymore, and wanted to give me $50.

I sent him several PM's explaining his legal contract with sedo, and he kept saying things like "Ok, I'm transferring the money now, give me a couple of days." He kept asking for more time, until finally Sedo cancelled the transaction without my consent (I'm assuming this was his plan all along.)

I PM'ed him again, and he said something like "I was JUST about to pay, but I got a notice that the sale was canceled."

Sedo has agreed to reopen the sale, but the member has yet to respond to my PM's. I still expect him to follow through with his purchase. I need to know what resources I have available to ensure no one else gets scammed by this member.

Please let me know where I can post, which staff I can contact to get his account canceled, and any other avenues you suggest to make this guy realize a deal is a deal.

    Thank you,
    Jorge

the General Chat ares has been the place where people post there displeasure with other members. however,

it don't sound like you got scammed and what your getting ready to do is slander someone. your post doesn't indicate any wrong doing, nothing was stolen, no money changed hands.

so why do you want to post someones name on pure speculation?

    Thanks for your response Sawz.

The member entered a legal contract, and then tried getting around it by offering me less money. Because I didn't accept, they continue to drag the transaction on. The only logical assumption here, since the member refuses to offer any explanation for their actions, is that they intend to wait it out and that I will give up in the end.

Maybe it was the low amount of money we're dealing with, or maybe you don't buy and sell anything online, but I don't understand how you can't see this member's actions as being anything but wrong. It was a business transaction that the member refuses to complete. I would be doing other DP members a disservice if I didn't inform them of his actions.

Wouldn't you like to know if you were dealing with this member?

of course, but this isn't SEDO, its DP.
and unless the problem exists here, your wasting your time.

I suppose we'll see what the other members think. I would hate for this thread to just turn into further motivation for the member to continue to not pay.

The only information I have on the member is their email address, phone number, and because THEY CONTACTED ME ON DP, their DP account. Had the member contacted me on NamePros or DNforum, I would not be posting this here.

I am willing to do whatever it takes to get this person to own up to their mistake. I hate being lied to, and I don't think anyone who lacks integrity should be allowed to be a member of an established forum like DP. This is certainly not any more a waste of my time than the past month of contact attempts have been.

Agreed. The moderators are busy on other things. Remember this is a very very active forum. Something like 1000posts/day in the BST alone.

And the part I find most interesting is that the Op is just complaining that the guy "wasted his time"

Oh .....if that was the only problem around here :)

Have you ever sold a name on Sedo? The sellers are at the mercy of the buyers. You accept the offer, cross your fingers, and pray it's not one of the 50% of deals that go unfinished. I don't see any way that a seller can be more 'punctual in dealing', do you?
