Hello 2 all of u. I've been writing some stuff, lately and i wrote 2 books:cool: ( not that i'm bragging or something :) ). 1 of them is a dating guide, explaining & helping about dates and dating. The second book is a novel. Its a mixture of romance, love & hacking :D and its very interesting.

So, I was wondering : '' where can i sell them ? '' Let's say that i'll put a reasonable price ( it will be cheap ), but i dunno where can i say that i'm selling a book, where can i write the short content... that kinda stuff..

If u know a page, site, or a place where i can do that, PLEASE post here. I also want to hear your ideas on where can i marketize my books. Even if there isn't such a place pls tell me how to create something like that...

Every post u make is appreciated

    Thanks upfront,
    Misa Misa.

This is the right place to advertise about your dating guide and try to make sales.

But, first you need to place a sales page which will provide the customer a view upfront over what he/she can get by purchasing the book. I would suggest placing the price to a lower one like $27 for the first 100 copies and thereafter increasing the price by $10 would do good.

And, coming to novels, there are several forums related to english literature and story telling. Find the best and ask any senior member suggestions to improve the book more.

Are we talking about physical books made out of paper or instead ebooks that folks download and read on their computer?

Just don't advertise it in this section -- if they're e-books, they'd be advertised in the e-book section of this forum when you meet the posting requirements for the marketplace (member for 14 days and 25 posts).

Marketing analysis does show that pricepoints ending in the number 7 seem to be a trigger to buyers. I always price my books at something like $17, $27, $37 etc. I totally agree with teamnirvana that it's usually best to keep your pricepoint low during launch, then raise it incrementaly.

I've found it's better to advertise your higher planned price first. Then you run sales in the beginning to get the low price in. It makes the buyer feel like they're getting more for their money and it does a good job of pushing the "buy now before the price goes up" sense of immediacy. It's one of the reasons I prefer selling with E-junkie -- they make it very easy to run sales and promotions with discount codes unlike some other options.

There are actually tons of ways to sell books. I'm the author of a personal development book, titled, Gratitude and Goalswhich I hope to launch within the next 30 days. With that being said, I have been doing a lot of research about marketing and selling books, and have learned quite a bit.

First, check out a book, 1001 Ways to Market Your Book by John Kremer. It is a massive book, but it does give a tremendous amount of information.

Second, consider everyone who may want your book. Frequent forums and blogs where you think these buyers might be. Post as much as you can (like I am right now).

Third, consider companies, websites, etc. who may want to promote/be affiliated with your (dating) book. Have you thought about speaking or coaching? That's another source of income once its published?

Has it been professionally edited? if not, check out elance.com. You will also need to get it published (if that's what you want to do). Check out Lightning Source or iUniverse.com, to name a few print on demand services.

There is actually quite a bit more we could talk about. If you want me to expand on it, just let me know, or email me.

    Best of luck!

I would suggest clickbank. If you sell a few there chances are that more and more affiliates will pick you up and promote you. It will help establish your guide and also earn some passive income without you doing anything.

Ebay doesn't allow you to sell digital ebooks anymore. In order to sell on ebay, you have to transfer the content onto a CD and sell it in that format.

It makes it much more of a pain for the seller :(

Yay! I love you people ;) ! Full of ideas i'd never thought about.
StaceyGrewal - thanks a lot, your post is very helpful ( so is everyone else's ) and good luck with your book too ( us writers have to sick with each others :D )

And for the rest of you guys - i thought to sell it on '' selling pages '' ( like eBay, Amazon.. etc.. ) but, now, i got more opinions about it, and i think i will try that ;)

Also i think clickbank i good, like it!

Thanks for all of your ideas,
keep them coming ( if possible )
    and have fun.

    Peace,
    Misa Misa
