Where Can I Learn The URL Tricks?

I came across a website taking the top organic search spot. It took me to a product website right away as soon as I clicked it. I said to myself no big deal, it's just a redirecting game. However the same website also shows up at the top spot in the PPC section and plays the same trick that I thought Google doesn't allow! I thought a landing page should at least have some content to get a O.K. Quality Score. You can't just riedirect right away!?

Anyway, it makes me realize I do need to learn more about this subject. Can someone recommend some learning material? I'm finalizing my first PPC campaign and thinking doing something silimar.

It may be a technical trick of getting round this - although Google will most definitely catch up on this (and on this type of redirecting you can be sure they'll probably get it quick quickly - especially as someone will probably report them soon)

Redirecting or domain forwarding are completely fine. There's nothing "tricky" going on there as long as your display URL (domain) is the same as the domain that the visitor eventually ends up on after the redirect
