Hello dear friends, Hope you all are well. After long time I came to visit this forum. Very busy with new job.... Okay, Coming to the point, I would like to learn Joomla, I know how to customize wordpress and that's why I believe I can learn joomla customization quickly. Presently one of my website is hosted in www.atlantic.net and I really like their template. I have checked that template and I would like to use same template for my upcoming security site. But I need to learn joomla customization first. I am not expert in coding things but I can install extension and change simple things like h1 tag, css files editing, etc. So, if you know any tutorial sites which provide joomla customization or joomla template editing tutorials for free please share here.
Hey, You can learn joomla tips & tricks from JoomlaShine...this is the most popular & trustable resource for Joomla Thanks Abhishek
expertfingers, Can you pm me the link or share it here please? I am not a coder so I think video tutorial can help me a lot.
You can try lynda dot com... They have nice tutorials.. But my best resource site is youtube Everything you need on Joomla or any other course is covered there. Just type in your question in the search bar and ..... you are good to go! Hope this helps.
You are right, but most of joomla extensions are still for Joomla 1.5 and very few for 2.5... very very very few for 3.0. So Joomla 1.5 gives the developer the flexibility and variability with sweetability of web designability
Yes I agree with you, but what about security, 2.5 and 3 are more safer than 1.5. Also, If your server software gets upgraded (PHP or the MySQL database) then your site may no longer work with the newer technologies and not to mention that there has been over 300 bug fixes since 1.5.x. In my personal opinion I would go with 2.5 at least.
