Where can I learn Internet marketing and SEO?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by rome9t9, Jan 30, 2008.

Hi DP members. I want to open up few directories and blogs. I can write effectively but I don't know internet marketing techniques and SEO.

Currently i read johnchow, shoemoney and doshdosh and found them to be very useful.

Are there any other resource like ebooks etcetera that can help me popularise my sites?

    Thanks.

A little time here at DP (ok, maybe a LOT of time) is all you need to learn pretty much everything..

FWIW, i think you'll learn more about fine dining and airport bathrooms on two of those three blogs than you will about SEO and marketing..

If you like those blogs you will love mine. Some of the few things I post about include topics about SEO and internet marketing. Go ahead and check it out (link in sig). The topics are categorized which you can see in the sidebar.

yeah, but do you have posts about where you ate last night, your favorite airport bathroom, what cool cars you saw at the autoshow, and pics of you with sexy babes? Because apparently it's just not an SEO or IM blog without those things.

I agree. Sometimes I get tired of reading what John Chow has for dinner. Not only does it not help me one bit, but it also makes me hungry.

You can check out my blog, http://superbloggingtips.com. The "Top Posts" link below the logo will get you started ;)

Haha. Well, I think JohnChow is the only site where you'll find that kind of stuff. Other than that, you're out of luck.

Try looking up 'bum marketing' . That should be ideal if you are good at writing.

JohnChow is a great source, but you've really got to dig into his archives for his real content before he started taking pictures of his fine dining meals and penthouse parties.

Just like everyone said, hang around the forums and do a lot of searching and reading. You'll learn a lot more around here than you will on most blogs.

I agree, DP has taught me more in a couple months than over a year of searching on the web. Just browse topics, and don't be afraid to ask questions!
