That is called a stock photo

There are loads of stock photo sites. I found these stock images on a great site called Dreamstime.com all i did was search the word "3d icon person" CLICK HERE

Most images dont cost more then 1-2$ depending on size and resolution. They are royalty free stock images which means you can use the image however you wish but you can not re-sell the image to other people to use aswell

Each image you purchase you are given a license to use it however you like. The license is their to protect the original designer of fraud so good to have if they contact you regarding one of their images

But if you need a free stock site id say try www.Sxc.hu but their options are limited

    Hope that helps!

Yeah, Cinema 4D is a great program for modeling.

However for someone who has never used the program, it will take you quite a long time to learn it and even be half way decent using it.

To the OP, yes those are stock photos. I think istock.com also has a few of them as well - they are not free.

I am a high school teacher and I teach about Autodesk's 3DS Max. I think it's a great program and if you get into it just a little bit, you can pose and "photograph" (render) characters just like that. The learning curve is kinda high, but you can actually get it FREE at Autodesk's website if you can prove you're a student? About 30 of my students have gotten a free copy, no strings attached, of the 2011 version (full) for a year! Hope this helps.
