Dear Forum Members, I'm working for a internet television station which has several shows. We are now having a competition within the company, everybody has his own show to promote (f.e. internettelevision.com/gameshow (not our website, just an example)). The one that generates the most backlinks wins a price (I'm not sure if backlinks is the right word, but we have to contact websites and tell them about the show and ask if they can place a link on the website if this might interest their visitors). But my question is, where can I keep track of the websites that indeed placed a link? (I know you can do this with Google Analytics but I don't have access to my bosses account) Thank a lot!
you can check your back links of subdomain on backlinkwatch.com domain. It will show you more accurate results.
You can check your backlinks anywhere you check for a domain. You may use yahoo site explorer to check your backlinks.Just go to the site and type your url in the search box and you are done.
if you are building those links yourself, then you know which page you are submitting to. just keep a record of it. if you are doing mass submission for link building, then use yahoo site explorer or some backlinks checking tools found online. if you go to yahoo site explorer, you search using this string that will give you the yahoo backlinks. link:yourdomain.com
OK, I have a new sub domain and as expected get nothing at all from Google/Yahoo, but that one you gave showed 2 "Chinese" sites, is this a sign of things to come? the new Google will be Chinese?
