I just installed a social script and I want to customize it for local community only. There are some fields with state, city, zip options, I wanna get rid of them. But admin control panel don't have access to those drop down menu modification.

I am wondering where I can make such a change within files directly. Usually where do I find those files?

Thanks for your help if you can point me out.

Which script are you using? If it is not a custom script, it would be easy to answer your question.
However you can check if there is any folder named as "templates" and inside that you could check if they have any files named "menus" or "links" or "header" etc.
