    You can buy BTC directly from coinbase. There are other sites that you can buy directly from or there are even sites where people will sell you BTC for pp but they usually want a %.
    Just do a google search for "buy Bitcoins".

    bitcointalk.org users do trade most of the time, you jsut have to use escrow or find the trusted members. most of us in the btc community don't trust paypal though.
