Kickstarter or the microloan sites might actually work for building a site if it's a really compelling and original idea ... but only if there's also a substantial working prototype first to show people and also a detailed business plan. Too many burns run on those sites with nothing but empty promises and backers are getting a lot more wary.

If someone is offering to build you a web site for free than odds are:

    1. They expect you to pay for something else.

    2. They have pre-built templates that require little to no effort to launch "your site".

    3. They have 1 and 2.

First of all you need to learn about internet marketing, and the niche you are intending on building or buying a website in. It's one thing to build or buy a website, it's another to make money from it. Besides, you can create your website yourself if you are patient enough to learn the skill, and besides there's always wordpress. Don't be in a hurry to buy, learn the trade first, so that when you are ready to buy you know how to convince someone to give you a loan or build your website and jv.

You can borrow money in the bank, but you have to show collateral, study your business feasibility to minimize the risk especially i you are planning to invest by creating a website.

I wouldn't go with bank loans - it simply isn't worth it. Simply ask some friends or family for a loan.

Tbf a few good answers here so far, the main explaining the best interest free loans.. So true. Then an explaination on how to get started.

If you are asking where to get a loan to get started clearly you aren't ready to get involved with IM and it's likely to end in tears.

On a positive note, get yourself some free web hosting, setup a blog / a site that you are interested in. Learn some basics ie HTML, a little seo, design and the ability to write content that people love. Then, and only then, put some money into developing it further. A domain will cost $2 - $10 (find a coupon) then upgrade the hosting (about $20 for the year) and use what you would have learnt to get serious.

    Good luck!
