where can i advertise a southern california based car forum?

    what exactly can i do to target an audience based in southern california?

    I'm almost positive you can use Google AdWords and specify certain regions you want to advertise around.

    Edit:Craigslist might even draw a few visitors which wouldn't hurt.

    PPC can be difficult if you dont know what you are doing, stay focused on words and phrases that exactly match what you are doing.....Im thinking ppc isnt the best way to go about promoting a forum. Word of mouth is usually the best way, join as many other california related forums as you can find and then join in, make friends and become part of that community.

    go local...give out your business cards, sponsor a small automotive events, wear your web site t-shirt and wear in it in all local and non-local automotive events.
    Order a sticker and place it on your own car, your wife's and your parent's car.

    adwords all the way or take out an ad in a local auto trader magazine.
