Can you please give a few examples of what the "right decisions" are when it comes to "SEO" and your site?

    Thanks,

There aren't exactly defined "right decisions". SEO is an art and a science, in my opinion. Every site has different requirements, and different strengths/weaknesses. It's a learn-as-you-go process.

Basically, what has worked for me and others, may not work for you. You just need to learn, experiment and build.

What kind of "ON SITE" examples can you share besides using VBSEO, what would you recommend doing?

I have never spent a penny on advertising - unless you count my youtube channel.

You need a game plan, some type of plan to get people to visit your site. For me, its building a quality site, and videos.

Just looked over your post on SEO...

Just quickly.. i have a few differances of opinion here. First off.. I dont think its a good idea to remove the Forum title from the Title tag. Depending on the site the Forum Title along with the post title can be beneficial.

I agree with removing the powered by Vbulletin, im with you here.

For keywords and Descriptions, everyone should have a description to appear in search. But keywords are a thing of the Past. (this was LONG ago)
Google is more concerned with Title tags ( i dont think h1 makes a differance)

i just submit my site in webmaster tools and google will crawl what i wants to crawl no need for anything extra imho

H1 tags are over rated IMHO.

You ask for advice, and then you criticize what's given to you? Your opinion is your opinion, but facts of SEO are facts... majorly indisputable, that is.

Removing the site's title from all pages makes the remaining page title keywords much "stronger". Having "xyz - My Web Site" on every page dilutes the keywords (xyz) so to speak. Check it out - even DP has made this customization. It's probably one of the first things anybody who knows anything about SEO does with a forum.

Heading tags are not overrated and using them is a simple way to ensure the Googlebot knows what content on your page is more important than the rest.

So my question to you is: do you know what you are talking about, or are you spitting out random opinions? Just curious...

I respect your advice/opinion... Nothin wrong with a friendly debate. I wanted to see what you thought. I guess when it comes to SEO everyone has differnt opinions.

About the title... thats why i said "SOME" sites can benefit depending on what the Title was.. (i.e. if the title was an imporant part of a keyword combo )then you might want to keep that in all title tags... u know what i mean?

I like to know nothing, i learn more that way. But sometimes i like to give my opinion, just like now..like i said nothing wrong with a friendly debate

I still think h1 tags are over rated

Im a student of the game, i think we all are. But some of the things in my last post are factual.

    Respectfully,
    -C

Your success in youtube will be measured by how much time and effort you put into it.

The last 2 videos I made (which was posted 2 weeks ago) took me about 5 - 6 hours to complete. The drive time to the filming location and back was 45 minutes - an hour to film, about 3 hours of editing, then an hour to upload each video.

Most people do not want to take the time or put forth the effort to make a successful youtube channel. Like right now I am working out the kinks in some new video editing software so I can start broadcasting in high definition.

To be able to make HD videos I upgraded my computer to a new quad core CPU, new video editing software, and bought a new $400 camera.

The next big video I'am working on will have several filming locations, and will take about 2 weeks to complete - filming on and off on several locations. Its going to be a big project for me. And I do this around my full time job, during my weekends and free time.

Thanks a lot for the useful tips :)

It actually sounds kind of fun, something i wouldnt mind learnign anyway.

I like this quote the best - "Your success in youtube will be measured by how much time and effort you put into it. "

I think you're right about that.
