    They are rare...you have to comb the domain forums, and even find sites thru searches and make offers on sites that are not currently listed..;)

    I agree with dreamedia that the multiple will probably increase. But, that's for the quality sites. For most of the other junk on here I can see only diminishing multiples. Why pay 24x for a brand new site with puke content (vomited up/copied/free articles) when you could rustle that up yourself in a few hours?

    Just the nature of the beast. Anyone can throw a site up there, hell anyone can throw a site up and get some traffic. The trick is finding something original that either meets some kind of need that isn't being addressed, or a brand new way of doing something. I don't believe it's all marketing. There has to be a hook. Just like a great song will have a great hook, so does a website. A well marketed site may get some traffic for a while, but will have trouble sustaining the traffic unless it is really bringing something great to the table.

    Everyone with decent sites are waiting to cash in on the nov-dec shopping season and then sell with inflated prices (from the shopping seasons earnings).

    Just a theory ;)
