Where are my clicks?

I have been getting between 600-800 ad impressions daily (not a lot i know) but no clicks at all. is this normal or should i expect thousands of impressions before i see some action?

my site is an article directory and i think my ad placement (esp on the articles) is pretty good!

    :S

Sidebars seem to work better for me, your ads are invisible if you don't scroll down, get at least one big one at the top and/or use your left-hand side-bar.
Maybe even think about using Google referrals for ads linked to your main topics. With the amount of views you are getting, you should be making a few dollars a day I would reckon even with cheap PPC's - try it for a week, you could always change it later - you could blend the ads so that they match more closely to your own links (with orange URL's like in the ads at the bottom of the page) that is almost sure to get some clicks I would have thought as long as they were better placed.
It's all a game, but I would certainly get them above the line if you want any clicks. BTW, pm me if you need some links to fixed advert suppliers who will pay around £3 per advert per month... (UK based)

Just as livewyre said. You should utilize your sidebar better because most of your articles are long and when the reader is scrolling down they see nothing on the side. No menu or nothing so a small verticle adsense would be a could idea.

Also a banner at the top between your search and main content would be a could idea.

Both your ads are down below, try placing something near the top.

the ad header in ad should be blue or some other colour which attracts user attention.

Ads are to far down - Can you put some toward the top or side? Also it took me a couple minutes to figure out what your site was - maybe ad a little more in the header, next to "write on the wall" so people can see right away what the site is, maybe they will stay longer

Get a large rectangle in every article - float it on the right of each article
