Godaddy,enom and name.com they are the best in registrar. But godaddy is little bit expensive compared to others.. but many coupens can get from them.
what makes someone the "best" registrar? if you don't use customer services and have a control panel, its all pretty much the same. netfirms do their domains, no coupons, for $6.99 including transfers, free whois protection. i'd take that in a heartbeat over "better" godaddy who charges 7.49 AFTER a coupon, has a 6 page checkout process, provides no whois guard protection.
If you read they terms carefully, Netfirms charge you $9.99 in second year. In additional, you cant push domain to another account with them.

Domain.com & Mydomain.com are pretty good, use coupon "bargaincat.com" for cheap .com's and for .Net they are only $6.25 using coupon "bargaincat625". Dotster offer .com's and .org etc for $8 using coupon "bargaincat"
