Where am I getting all of my page impressions from?

    Hey everyone,

I just started a blog on Blogger and decided to include Adsense on it. Apart from mentioning the blog on a few forums, I have not really done anything to drive any traffic there.... and yet I have over 400 page impressions in only three or four days, and a few ads have even been clicked!

I know that this traffic is piddly compared to the monsters on these boards, but it is far more than I expected and I have no idea where it is coming from. Frankly, my blog is nothing special. Any ideas? Does Blogger promote new blogs somewhere?

Every time you post on your blog, blogger shows most recent post and yours is listed for a brief period of time, but it does get you visitors.

Blogger doesn't have any built in stats reports, but they do list a few third party statistics services. Try one of them that provides referer information, and you'll find out where the traffic is coming from.

Thanks for the tips, guys. What I am afraid of is that my blog is being visited by nothing but spam-bots of some kind.

I've been using statcounter.com to track my visitors and it's worked out well. Whichever site it was that gave me my initial spike in visitors has since tailed off dramatically. I now only get 5 - 10 unique visitors a day or so.

Does anyone have a comparison of the various stat tracker sites? I'm pretty happy with statcounter, but I wouldn't mind finding out how the other sites perform.
