What puts you off purchasing a product or service from a website?

Il suggest a few and you may find that any of these or others of your own choice tend to put you off.

Trying to get a picture of what can change potential customers minds.

    Less than professional looking website?
The location where the product/service comes from?
    Not enough product/service information?
No or slow answers to your questions?
Not enough or not the right payment option/s for you?
    Lack of site/company history/reputation?
Less than professional response to your questions?
Lack of phone number or physical address?

    Any others?

Less than professional response to my questions would probably be the number one reason for me not to do business with the site.

What actually put me off is late in replying to queries about products and services

This type of problem had me thinking back recently.

I think in 2005 i contacted a company i was interested in working with, no response, 2nd time still no response, this was all through their own contact method and their own offering, tried 3rd time, got a response, went ahead and setup with them.

Once i was setup, any help from the guy in place to help me out? nope :)

One thing i learned, if they dont even reply to your potential interest in them then probably best avoided.

Another situation, an online company who sell all manner of electronics, pc parts, phones etc, for some reason removed paypal as a payment method.

Quite suprised, now i dont use them.
