You need to normalise the results against how many people were not banned from each country. USA is going to have a lot more banned people, simply because there's probably a lot more USA accounts out there.

What can you possibly be thinking this poll will conclude?

Are you trying to figure out what country the most scammers are from?

I think people from third world countries and smaller countries might get banned more.

This may be due to limited number of isps and hence only a few ip addresses.
G might mistake even genuine clicks for invalid ones since they seem to come from same ip address even though they may be different people.
This may work only for country specific sites or country specific forums.

    Can this be correct?

You know you are right... the data needs to be normalized against non banned accounts...

LOL Yes! The poll so far concludes that they have a quota of accounts to be banned from each country.

I've been here a while, and the vast majority seems to hail from India. Of course this poll will be skewed, because frankly, most banned publishers aren't hanging around forums dedicated to the network that they are already banned from voting on polls. But just from my own observations, a healthy number seems to come from India...

Dumb poll... because the results are highly influenced by the internet use in specific areas. Now you're comparing 30 million Candians for example with 300 million Americans or USA with Africa, Africa that has a lot less internet users per capita. Like I said... dumb poll.

All this poll is going to show is a very weak representation of how many people use adsense in each country/part of the world.

Ok I have already been modded down, as I already said I realize that the data needs to be normalized so the poll is useless. Is there a way to bury this without me getting more negative points?

Actually Google doesn't ban based on IP alone...Not to mention shared IPs aren't for third world countries only (Although I suppose you could argue AOL was basically a Third World Country of its own)

    I love this

If people were all using the same IP address to produce clicks on the ads innocently.....

wouldnt everyone have the same IP address when applying for adsense???

And what do you think happens with AOL users?

I think it was also forgotten that each computer/appliance hooked to the internet.... has its own private address....

very easy to see the 10,000 clicks coming from the same private address.....

yfs! I did not see you bracket words before I started typing lol

yes the walled garden was the first net country community hidden behind its firmware...

    Peace

    Eureka!!!
G bans if account holders don't stay in touch with G thru its help section.

If every suspicious click is informed to them will they cancel?
