When you transfer a domain name to a different registrar, does it add to your expiration date?
I just reg a domain on godaddy, but i want to transfer it to namecheap, will it expire in one year, or two?

Okay, and after I am eligible. Does a transfer add time to the expiration date? Lets say my domain is expiring in nov 2012, and I but the transfer, when will it expire after I transferred it?

Every domain registry could have a different policy. Best to read their terms. I use my own HOSTNHUB. After I do a transfer you get a year registration free. ( from transfer date) A lot of registrars are like that. Do not count on it though.

Its depends upon domain and hosting what type of hosting you have.

Yes. If you have Authorization code then go to domain panel and enter your Authorization code and start transfer.
