When you tell you are a designer...

I'm just curious to learn the statistics. When you tell people, you are a designer, how do they respond? Most people have a general idea what what is a designer job. But, today, we have various types of designers (which is too many anyway! at least 9 according to this blog - https://blog.sagipl.com/types-of-designers/?).
So, my question is whether think you are a web designer or an interior designer (which would be in my case - https://www.format.com/magazine/resources/design/how-to-become-an-interior-designer)? Maybe fashion designer for some people? What type of a designer do people think you are?

 

I`m not designer, but in this case I would think about web-designet, I guess, because I`m familiar with that

Preferred on your work and design skills, make good portfolio some of your work.

 

when you actually create and don't copy others when people start taking advices from you and you benefit everyone in need such as clients i guess

 

Well, I would call myself an e-commerce photo designer, to make it precisely, a photo editing designer.

 

Terminology creates a lot of problems. For instance, there is a noticeable difference between fashion design and interior design even on the web, but web developer, web designer, coder, and many many more... you must define the differences for people to actually understand what you do.

Many individuals that use graphics applications with html output options suddenly consider themselves graphic artists, web designers, logo designers etc. but it doesn't make it so. It just means you like art and learned how to use the program. So what's the difference?

Is there a difference and if so how do you define each of them? Photo Editor does that mean cropping images, adjusting sizes adding colors? There's an app for that, 1000's of them. Photo Editing Designer do tou design how the items in the photo are laid out, angles, lighting directions? Seems to me that fits photographer. So what does an editing designer actually do?

I'm really interested to know. Would make things easier to classify.

 

Whenever we tell anyone that we are a designer, they always ask which type of designer you are. what kind of designs do you do? Show your portfolio. They just think about us, how he is a creative mind! they show that they have a good creative mind, they can do creative designs, and they are good creators on only thoughts. We just say "yes, yes, yes...." Because they know everything.
