Hello, I am creating a new, cool directory which will replace http://www.seodir.eu, all spam will be removed and I will make total new cool unique directory :)

Therefore I wanto to ask you which factors are responsibility for your payment for the link ? PR ? Unique content ? etc etc.. ?

    Thanks ;)

One of the major factor when I pay is:

    1. The directory owner hasn't cashed on a existing domain for age, pagerank, traffic or re-branding.
    2. Directory belongs to a reputed member I know.
    3. Trust in the owner and his promotions.
    4. No.of listings in the category I submit along with the quality of the submissions accepted in the category I want to submit.

    ... and more.

Trust, which is an issue if you want to delete a load of listings that helped build up the directory so far.

A bit of a clean is good but beyond that in order to start again on the domain is questionable.

Your new cool directory will be on the seodir domain?

Having no sitewides would be a factor, also more detailed submission guidelines so that people dont submit want you dont want, also i personally like knowing i can get a refund if not accepted.

The owner (you i imagine?) following your own guidelines and not listing non english sites, even though your guidelines say english sites only.

Example: http://www.leningenenkredieten.be/goedkope-leningen/ English description but the site is in belgium/french?

I know your changing things soon but....

No drugs, but you list pharmacy sites
No sex, but http://www.seodir.eu/detail/link-9861.html says different

As i say, you will be changing it, but currentky you dont follow your own guidelines? :)

Yes I know because it is not easy to chack daily 250 submissions, read articles etc.. so I have stopped to manage the directory and currently I add everything. But my new dir will be cool, unique, never seen before :)

So you suggest to create it on new domainame ?

As pipes said, the trust level is important and an owner that wipes out all the listings because it is good for them rates low for trust.

I dont want to suggest whether to create it on a new domain or not because that is your choice and i remind myself that your choices are your own.

I fully understand and agree that checking large amounts of submissions daily cant be easy, im just looking at it from the angle of if i plan to pay for a submission.

Genuine quality content, something that I can tell an editor does actually review the sites and writes an objective unique description for the sites. That is my priority, following from that is what others have posted, PR is low on the list.
