when you make your blogs on blogger.com, do you blog all on one page? Say you talk about "cars" in one post, and "cats" in another,,,,, do you do it all under one URL...for example "mylife.blogspot.com......... or do you separate the two and do cars.blogspot.com and cats.blogspot.com

videos_dvd, I've read all of your threads (14 posts and 10 threads!) and I'm going to save you a lot of time, heartache, and anxiety, and tell you this. Go buy this book:

Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program

Buy it cheap from Amazon.com, read it, and THEN decide if you still want to give making money with Adsense a try. Trust me, you will thank me later, because at this time, from all your slew of questions/threads, it is very clear to me that you have no idea what you are doing, how to do it, or why you are even doing it.

You have absolutely no idea what you are doing, videos_dvd. Trust me. This book is going to save you months and months of toiling, where you will no doubt be doing everything wrong, thus wasting all those months for nothing.

I did not write this book, I will not make money from it when you buy it, but it WILL answer all your questions, including if you should even bother trying this Adsense thing.

Please go buy it and read it, and stop making thread after thread asking questions that has been asked/answered 1000s of times before, or can be found anywhere with some minor work.

Was there a ref link in the Amazon link? I didn't know. I just searched using my FF Amazon bar and copied the link over. /shrug

    To videos_dvds:

Buying it from ebay should be fine as long as it's the same book. Trust me, it will answer most if not all of your questions and let you know if you should even bother with Adsense.

So this book tells you if you should use different subdomains of blogger.com when blogging about two different subjects? Wow, that book must have everything!

videos_dvds keep doing what you are doing. The fastest way to learn is to keep plugging along and asking questions directly related to what you need to know. These forums exist for others to communicate with you and answer questions if they are so inclined. You are doing nothing wrong, period.

if you are using blogger.com, you better create separate blog on cats and on cars for you to monetize them well. if you are blogging about your life then create other blog about your life.

It'll tell him more than what he knows now, and then some. He can make threads all day, asking every single question that occurs to him, or he can buy a nice little book that'll tell him everything and more. What he's worried about now, "blogger or wordpress or movable type" is beyond him. He doesn't even know what CPM means. So shove your smartass up your you know what, because you won't be here to answer all his questions, so don't give advice when you won't be around to back it up.

You don't even know what you are talking about. Buying a book to make it in this business is some of the worst advice one could give period. Your book will not answer the question he has and is a waste of money and time. I'm not surprised you learned your skills from a book though, it's how most noobs get brought into this business.

By the way, it's funny you leave reputation with "Don't be a smartass. Think before you post. - Jackburton2006" when you made it a point to be a smartass in this thread. You are wrong, have a nice day.

I've this problem months ago and I got some nice suggestions here. Now, if you've a vast topic of interest, why not just go for a general blog first? Write everything in it and regarded it as a personal blog, for example just like you've mentioned "mylife.blogspot.com". If you feel comfortable that way, I think that's ok. Blogging is not a work, it is a kind of personal interest. There is no rules in how to do it. You can put whatever you want in your blog.

Just test it out first. Maybe later you'll found out that your actually an expert on certain topics then you could open another blog focus on that subject.

Hope that my limited suggestion could inspire you on the subject.
