Joomla, because its relatively easy to use, has a good forum, and also has a ecommerce cart, virtuemart.

I like Wordpress right now, always had to many security problems with Nuke.

Thinking about trying Drupal for my next excursion in the community site.

-Many built in community features such as a full featured message board, private message system, user ranks, rating, polls, chatbox etc..

    -Easy theme/template system
-Extremely fast with an efficient cache
    -Built in Genshi support
    -Secure

    etc etc

I use wordpress for smaller, simpler sites that I just want to throw together but still have decent features and plugins.

For larger sites I prefer Joomla (ex. Mambo) because I've used it before and I'm already used to it. Also, it has a great community and a LOT of addons and plugins so it's very easy to customize.

PS: I've heard some good things about the power of Typo3...

    has to be

    nukeevolution.com for me

phpNUKE is absolutely sh*t. It is simply a terribly written program with complete ignorance to sercurity. If i were you i would read this article:

    64bit.us/article89.html

    then head over to nukeevolution.com

It depends. Big sites with lots of different types of data.. I will usually use Mambo or PhpNuke.

Smaller sites... something like WordPress will do wonderfully with the right plug-in combination and templates.

Remember.. You have to manage the updates... adding content in Mambo takes MUCH more work than in Wordpress.

I use Joomla for many of my sites, I've tried Drupal and PHP-Nuke, but Joomla is the best of all in my opinion.

It is the security issues with NUKE that made me switch to vB for my site.
I use vBadvanced for the CMS.
