I ran two auctions in the past week, they were both about the same domain.

The first auction, a person makes a bid, he is the only bidder, I contact, he said he is unable to pay because paypal problems, I contact again and he still wasn't able to pay...

I now open another auction and yesterday a user won, I PM him, he said he bought another domain, but no i-trader or anything?

I just pm'ed the next winning bidder, but I fear the same stunt may be made, which would totally bite.

How am I suppose to run an auction when these idiots make bids that are NOT realistic/they won't pay.

They are ruining my auction and wasting my precious time!

Please suggest, what the hell am I able to do?

Please note, I am not angry at anyone, I am just frusterated because when someone bids on something, you should have the intention to BUY IT.

    /end of my rant ;)

That's right, you can leave negative iTrader as well as red reputation to the people involved in fake bidding,

The only you can't do is getting moderators involved in your personal deals around here.

This is a very common problem on DP.

Members are just bidding to increase their post count.....sometimes it is just done to ruin the auction.

Unfortunately, according to the mods, you can't leave a negative itrader as there has been no trade.

This makes it very easy for people to get away with such false bids.

I strongly feel that a negative itrader should be allowed for members who don't meet their auction obligations.

Of course giving negative reputation doesn't resolve anything and is up to the parts involved, but from my point of view, in false bids there are no trade, but there is an implicit obligation when a member claims he/she is taking that deal.

    I may be wrong though.

Thanks for the posts... I know some try to raise post count because you look at their posts and it's obvious, but I don't want to discredit them publicly.

If mods don't want you leaving i-trader for no deal, then I will just leave it be.

I have contacted second bidder and looks like he will be paying, so that is good, just wanted to see what options and what can and happens and what not.

    Thanks!

I am fairly sure you are allowed to leave a negative itrader even if the deal did not go through. I think I have seen several threads asking that questions before.

Yes., when a person bids he should have an intention to buy it and he/she should at any cost buy it.. even if the first bidder is not available the seller has rights to offer it to the second best bidder and the second best should accept it...
For giving reasons one can give hundred reasons saying Paypal problem/ I bought another domain/ financial problem currently etc.., But why the heck did u bid if u had problems??? Business is Business... these things actually make online business more virtual and less trustability from people..
