Here are five me tips when writing web content. 1. Titles Of Your Posts - First impressions are what matter here. Readers look at your title and decide whether to read your post or not. I subscribe to many RSS reeds and will scan titles to determine which articles I want to read. Using a catchy, short, and informative title will attract readers and ensure that your post gets read. 2. Respond To People’s Comments - If visitors take time out of their schedule to comment on your blog, you should continue the discussion by responding to their comments. There are many times that I will read an article and then look at people’s comments to gain more information. 3. Use Relevant Pictures - Make sure your pictures are relevant to your content. Pictures should be used to complement your content. Don’t use irrelevant pictures just to use pictures. Make sure the picture works with your content to benefit your readers. 4. Make Your Opinion Clear - If you have an opinion on a certain subject, make if clear to your readers. From there provide supporting details to reinforce your opinion. 5. The More Time You Spend The Better - Take your time when you write content for your site/blog. I see many bloggers pump out posts that have no benefit to their readers. They think the more content they push out the better. Quality is always better than quantity This is part 2 of the series. Click on the link in my sig to read part 1 and other tips.
Good points to have in mind, I don't have much experience in blog commenting...but I have to learn it soon...thanx
These are good tips, thanks! On article titles, these are my two rules of thumb when creating them: 1. Make it a call to action or clear explanation of benefit 2. Use either fear or opportunity to motivate clicks
Nice tips. Always be a genuine commenter. When you write blog always write topic oriented content. Do not go out of topic to include too much content.
