I'm posting my third ever entry, and my blog has been up for 4 days. I think if you keep a good routine more readers will stay.
Now I have updated my blog before more than 2 or 3 days. Its because my computer have got some troubles.
I would do it almost every day. I have 3 blogs and each cater to specific needs .. so I would have to plan in advance.
It is impossible for me to update everyday with quality posts. I have a remedy for that , which I hope to apply soon, but I try and post 2 times a week, or when I have something to say, or add. I often go back and update previous posts, rather than post about the same subject.
Most of the time I post at least once a week, unless something really interesting comes up and I post at least twice about the event, once during the week it happened, and again the following week when things have calmed down.
I update my blog when I have something to say. I have gone a month with no update. I have updated 3x in one day. It’s a specific blog to boating in our area and right now we have a hard water problem. The water is frozen.
Interesting that people are "trying" to update daily. I'd argue its not worth updating if what you are going to say is going to be a poor post! Better to have a really good quality, well researched post once a week than 5 or 6 pretty scrappy rushed things.
Daily.. well trying. I run two blogs, one new [in the signature] and 1 successful blog featured on some large media sites, i.e. US Today, so it's difficult to keep the momentum going but great fun!
