When will you know if you're banned?

    Hello.

I've now read all of these "I got banned"-stories, and even though I haven't done anything against the TOS, I'm still pretty paranoid.
Let's say someone has clicked my ads 12 times in 3 days. This will of course seem strange and I might get banned for it, even though it's not me who has clicked.

    So my question is:

How long will it take before I get the "death"-mail from Google?
Will I get banned a few days after? Can I risk them banning me when I've reached 100 because they then check the whole site trough?

I really hope they'll tell me immediatly, so I won't go all these weeks (Months - not earning that much) and get all exited when I reach 100, just to find out that something someone did on the first days has got me banned.

    Thank you. :)

The only reason for you to get paranoid is if you know you might be breaking the rules.

If someone has clicked on my ads a lot without me knowing about it. Then it's hardly my fault, but google will still be banning me because it looks suspicious.

But please answer my question :)

If you get bombed with clicks...E-mail Google...FAST!!!!! :D

Only way for you to get a correct answer is if you...get banned and find out. U sure u want us to help you get an answer??!!! :D

You get busted and you'll lose all earnings that you havn't got. So it could be as far back as two months that you don't get paid for!!!!

If you do get a letter, then make sure you send all your log files to them to investigate (if you havent been clicking on ads yourself). If you have cliked them yourself or asked your friends to do it for you then go find a different source of income other than adsense

Some guys on this board has tried being banned, so they can probably tell me when they got the mail from Google. Was it on the same day as they (or someone else) had violated the rules, next day or was it when they reached 100 bucks?''

You are not going to banned from adsense system for just few clicks from same ip address, but yes you may not get paid for more than two or three clicks from same Ip during a specified time ( I don't know what googles specified time -this is what I learnt from tracking).

But yes repeated clicks from same ip address may make google alert and if you inform them by your self then you are safer (not gaurentee that you are safe).

So better would be track your ads click and be vigilant till you become a big fish then google honors you for revenue genrated by you for google.

    just my opinion. Take care

Thanks for your answers. But there must be someone who knows when they got a warning or got banned.

I got banned... It didnt' take long either.. Within about a week of the infractions I started seeing "not for profit" ads on my pages, then they quickly changed to cannot be found or something of that nature..

Sorry, I'm not real clear as it was a few years back.. I'll tell you this though.. it sucks to be banned!! :( Don't do it!

Oh, unlike all the other I got banned stories.. I deserved it! Even though I've learned my lesson, and would never click my own ads again, I'm gone for life without the possibility of parole.. Sucks to be me..

Now days I am relying on CJ, shareasale, and chitika for far less revenue that I would likely be seeing if I weren't such a dumb sh*t..

Translation: "I asked my friend/family member/myself to click on my ads from another computer, thinking I was pretty smart. So he/they/I did and he/they/I have been doing it for 3 days straight now. Suddenly, out of the blue, I read that Google is actually pretty smart, and they ban people for doing this, and now I'm trying to figure out if they'll catch me or not. Help!"

    Close? :D

    Not even :)

I haven't told anyone to click my ads, and considering I get around 13 clicks a day, that should prove it I believe. Othervise I'm sure I would have much more clicks.

I was just gerenally wondering. Someone might wanted to "help" me by clicking my ads, because they know, that google ads pays you by clicks. So for all I know the 13 click a day could be from the same person, in which case I'm sure Google would ban me.

So now I can wait all these weeks waiting to be banned or not if all my clicks has been from different IP's. Therefor it would be nice to know when Google would ban me, if there really was someone who has clicked on my ads 13 times a day.

Ps. hardVVork: Thanks for your reply :)

If you didn't do anything wrong, you won't be banned. If you did, you will. Nuff said.

Well sorry but I just don't think that's true. I really fear that someone would click my ads without I even know whothey are - just because they think they are helping me - which they wanna do because they like my site.

Then they'll click a few times every day - how can that be because I've done something wrong?

But again, that's not really what this topic is about.

Yep, if something is out of place just drop an e-mail to them explaining yourself.

As I said earlier stop bothering about getting banned and start optimizing for adsense. Read the various threads on DP about adsense and get more than 13 clicks per day without the fear of getting banned mate..

My God, man, will you just admit it? You told someone to click on your ads, or you "hinted" that they should click on your ads, but that was before you realized you could get banned for it. That is the reason you keep bringing up the 13 clicks a day by "someone" trying to "help you out", blah blah blah. Now either just admit to that or stop pretending you don't know who is clicking on your ads.

Sheesh, it's like pulling teeth with you noobs.

I'm actually more than happy with the income I've made on adsense so far (one week)

I seem to get most of my earnings on page impressions. The ads are there for people to click, and if they don't then that's fine too. I spent most of my time keeping my site updated, and less time changing the ads around non-stop :)

The 13 clicks are simply the avarge clicks I had so far my first week. I've simply just read many of the threads on this forum about "mass-clicks" and so on. And after reading how we aren't protected against these mass-clicks, I just got scared that it might happend to me (in a smaller extent).

I can see you don't believe me no matter what I say, and that's fine for me. I simply just wanted to know when people normally get their warning or ban.
