    there's a dead period when a domain expires. There's a grace period for 30 days, then it should become available.
    Its weird that they are holding it so long. There is a rumor that it takes 75 days though.

    The pending delete is 5 days, however, companies have a grace period and to find what it is for GoDaddy read their T&Cs it could be unto 75 days as @LaceyGirl says; however, it's normally 30-45 days then the 5 days. It should become available in the coming days - you can always pre-order it though so you don't have to worry about checking.
