Just wondering when will Ron Paul call it quits since he can't win? Also what will he do with that pile of cash?

I don't believe he will. He will continue to spend the money he has amassed and continue to fail to use it properly (as many of his supporters on the RP forums have pointed out). Then bankroll it for future political use.

I believe what they are trying to do, but will fail at, is to keep a low profile with lots of money and wait till others have bowed out, then try to come on strong. The problem there is, with 3% national support and very broad support for the top tier group, it just won't succeed.

Paul and Romney both have proven, it's not about how much money you raise, loan yourself or spend. It's about the message, direction and accomplishment.

He peaked today, with a third place in a virtually uncontested state.

It looks like someone is in denial. How many of those other states were virtualy uncontested?

Next thing you know GTech will be on about Diebold :p

Ron Paul still believes that if he could just get his message out people would vote for him. He actually believes he is the only true conservative.

The problem is that when he opens his mouth he scares the crap out of people. People are getting his message and they don't want what he's offering. If he was getting more air time he might finally realize that people are rejecting him because they know what he stands for. As it is, he can hide behind excuses.

People like the idea of a smaller more efficient government. People don't like the idea of a government that is so crippled it can't even do it's primary job: defend the country. He is so insignificant that news stations would rather spend their valuable time talking to people who aren't crazy. If you notice, Guilliani isn't getting much air time either. Neither is Thompson. It must be some vast conspiracy.

Ron Paul's primary selling point is getting rid of the IRS by dismantling the government. Huckabee also wants to do away with the IRS but won't sacrifice our security for it.

How's the saying go, "those that would give up security for a little bit of money are insane?"

Ron Paul was in third but squeaked by with a second place finish.

I was also under the impression that unused campaign donations go to the nominee for the presidential election. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

Yeah, Ron Paul's the crazy one

BTW, here's a quote for you, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

What is puzzling (well maybe not) is that people are so close minded as to not see something good when it hits them in the face! Ron Paul is the only candidate with the record to prove that he is the real deal, a honest individual, with no ties to big corporations, fighting for your liberties you tools!!! Yet some of you still look down on him as if he is some crazy person. You all deserve to be ruled by corporations and be slaves to your government!!! If you like being slaves than you should not vote for Ron Paul.

Gtech wont understand this quote, as from his posts, the state is to be trusted blindly without questioning(a failure to do so , and he brands people unamerican or trying to bad mouth america) and if we give up some personal liberties its ok as long as the STATE tells us we are safe. When does a government cross the line with our freedom and liberties and turns into facism?;)

He's going to go to the convention, since it's most likely going to brokered anyway. I see Romney, Paul, McCain, and maybe Huckabee going to the convention, assuming Huckabee gets some big performances Super Tuesday. Rumors about Fred dropping are starting to come on hard, and Guiliani should drop after his Florida strategy fails miserably in about 10 days. Sorry fellas, but with $20 million you can compete nationally, and he already started a huge TV campaign in a bunch of ST states. Now how he could possibly win the nomination at the convention, I don't know; in fact, I don't know very much about brokered conventions and what kind of candidate traditionally comes out on top at them. But at the moment, that seems to be the goal.

Well that proves it. He only talked about getting rid of the IRS and going with a consumption tax on Jay Leno but since random guy on the net says he didn't I must be wrong.

Ron Paulbots keep quoting Ben Franklin yet can't manage to tell me one liberty that has been done away with in the name of security.

Name one right in the last 20 years that has been done away with in the same of security.

Have you ever heard of a little thing called the Patriot Act? There are so many liberties which that takes away in the name of security.

Oh please! So than why did they fail miserably to protect us on 911? They had plenty of opportunities to prevent the attacks and guess what... they failed!!!

Name 1 specific right that the PATRIOT act revoked that the Supreme Court has not reinstated.

That's because they were in on it silly! So according to you, the best defense is having no defense at all.
