When Will My Website Gather Good Traffic?

I have recently launched a "Best Kids Movies" website and was wondering how long will it take to gather good traffic. It is already in the 2nd page page of Google. But it ranks in the top page for some keywords that don't have enough search volume. I have webmaster tools and can't really interpret the search queries. Do the search queries show that those query terms have large search volume, even though the impressions and clicks are very less for my site (>10).

Post Penguin - is link building a good strategy? I cannot just post enough content on the website except reviews, which I have already posted - there are almost 36 movie reviews Plus a few articles!

It depends on what type of traffic you are focusing. You should focus on 2 main things: direct traffic( short term) and long term traffic. Direct traffic you get from forums, chat boxes, and fresh blog posts. This affects your traffic on the long term, once your posts start to rank, and because you were the first to post, you draw the most of the traffic.

Thanks for your answer. Does that mean I should create and post fresh blog posts on my site?

If you do the reviews yourself and if they are interesting, you will gather traffic in time. Just be patient.

Regarding webmaster tools, if it's <10 it means you're not getting too many impressions/clicks on your link in that page. It doesn't mean that you're doing anything wrong, just that that particular keyword is either not searched much, or your page is not in the top results, and conversion rate decreases allot after the first page.

To increase some impressions you can do some do follow link buildings. For that forum is a great option. You can use digital point forum or this website
