I would also bet that a lot of .info are going to be dropped because of the recent problems with regfly.

Never... Simple answer. Why? the general public is unaware .info even exists almost.

www....com symbolises the internet, nothing will be as popular as .com, , expecially not .info. Even new domain extensions (outside .net, .org, .biz) are becoming internationally more popular than .info.

Sounds more like a personal opinion, .org is very popular.

Of course, .com #1, .net #2, .org#3. I wanted to say, there are domain extensions that seem to become popular or are more popular than .info, like .ws and similar.

.info never seemed to be trendy. $0.99 for .info is a great domain price, it didn't persuide me to register any of them, thought. I'd rather go for any .com, than a more appealing .info.

I know a lot of famous .com, .org... sites, can hardly thought of any famous .info, perhaps only ihf.info (international handball federation), that may have had decided for .info because it sort of 'rhymes'.

.info's are popular among BH marketers since they are cheap to register and build junk sites on - another reason why .info will be as "popular" as .com, .net, and .org.

When? probably never bearing in mind it has about five years from its launching time and having a free domain giveaway trying to boost its popularity with disastrous results.

Remember that such promotion associated the extension with MFA and other spam-related sites.

On the other hand, .cc will be always associated with FREE domain names after uni.cc, a website offering them since about 8 years ago, the same as TK.

Or maybe the fact that .info has 4 characters in, it doesn't make a domain look appealing as 3 character extensions, other 4 character extensions like .name aren't widely popular as well
