how long should it take for my site to be indexed? i have been public for 2 weeks and i have a good amount of inbound and outbound links. But my google webmaster tools shows that i have 0 for both. Any ideas? Also, with all my other blogs, the summary of google webmaster page says "google last crawled your homepage (date)" But this new one (http://theguitarresource.com) does not say that yet. how long should this take? starting to get worried.....

Do it with the http:// in it and you show up! Make sure you make a site map and submit it to Google this will help get your inner pages indexed.
i did make a sitemap and submitted it over 2.5 weeks ago... also, check out the URL that shows up for my one listing as http://theguitarresource.com that is my feed url, not my homepage.... soo confused here.......

your feed is indexed by google. look http://www.google.com.tr/search?q=h...ent-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-31,GGGL:tr . if you want to increase the indexing speed , you must continue to build backlinks
the thing is all my other blogs were indexed faster and they had far fewer backlinks than this blog has...
i have had my site in my sig for over 2 weeks..... that is why i am so confused...This blog has more incomming links than my other blogs and all my other blogs are indexed...
i just did a view source on my blog and saw this meta tag: <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' /> could that have something to do with it? i never created that, it must be defaut. how dow i change it if i need to?
figured it out. under my options.privacy in wordpress my site was set to private! i have no idea how this happened as i never set it. must be a default setting. (or maybe i changed it way in the beginning when i was working on my blog and forgot about it and never switched back. A more likely reason....) hopefully i'll be indexed soon, i just changed it !
you are indexed man type in google site:http://theguitarresource.com/ and you'll see that you are indexed anyway try to get more backlinks | Link Building Tips and Resources. the max time to be indexed as i know is 1 month & you can be indexed in google within 24-48 hour if you have backlink pr7. rgordon83, you can check using the following commands. site:theguitarresource.com Found - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:theguitarresource.com&btnG=Search site:www.theguitarresource.com did not match any documents - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:www.theguitarresource.com&btnG=Search I believe your site with www prefix will be index within a day or two because i posted the full url into this thread.
